Function and Purpose
- Making adjustments: The threaded rod and the adjustable jack nut allow for accurate adjustments in height to mitigate differences in the level of the ground, ensuring the vertical members (posts) of the scaffold system start perfectly plumb and level.
- Weight Distribution: The base plate at the bottom of the jack distributes the load that is concentrated on the standard of the scaffold over a wider area, often resting on sole boards or on a solid surface.
- Compatibility: The jack fits into the bottom of the Cuplock standards (vertical tubes) to ensure a secure fit. The outer diameter (OD) of the Cuplock standards is 48.3 mm.
