The Quicklock Scaffolding system is the system of choice for modern building projects; high-rise buildings, bridges, viaducts, tunnels, etc., because of its speedy erection and high stability. The high-strength Quicklock Scaffolding Ledgers are the principal horizontal components that have been specially designed for heavy-duty applications and high-speed site operations. They are made from the best quality Q235/Q355 steel, which incorporates cast steel ledger ends and cast steel wedge pins to guarantee a fast and solid connection to the vertical standards. Function and Features
- Horizontal Support: The ledger provides horizontal support and connection between the vertical standards (posts) in the scaffolding bay.
- Decking/Platform Support: It supports the transoms or battens that, in turn, hold the work platforms or decking. This creates the working level for construction, maintenance, or other tasks.
- Bracing: It helps to give total stability and rigidity to the scaffold structure.
- Connection: In a Quick-Lock (or similar) system, the ends of the ledger have a wedge-head or blade that is inserted into the rosette or cup on the vertical standard and secured by a wedge or locking device, providing a strong, positive connection.

As "Quick-Lock" is a system scaffolding (similar to "Ringlock" or "Cuplock"), certain sizes may vary very slightly in detail from manufacturer to manufacturer and have regard to different standards in the likes of different parts of Europe and America (i.e., between the European standard and American standard), but the general specifications are as follows:
