The Steel Twin Waler is a key element of high-strength formwork support systems. Manufactured from premium-grade C channel steel with a parallel design, the Steel Twin Waler has more rigidity than traditional round pipe materials. A center slot provides for tie rods, helping to produce a completely flat surface of concrete and eliminating bulging of the wall forms during heavy material operations.
Key Features
- Superior Rigidity: Effectively resists lateral pressure from fresh concrete, ensuring the structural integrity of shear walls and columns.
- Adjustable Slot Design: The precision-engineered gap allows for flexible placement of tie rods (T12 to T20), making it compatible with various formwork systems.
- Exceptional Durability: Available in Hot-Dip Galvanized or Powder Coated finishes to withstand harsh construction environments and maximize reusability.
- Enhanced Safety: Reduces the risk of formwork failure (blowouts), providing a safer workspace for construction crews.

Application Scenarios
1. Shear Wall Formwork Reinforcement
Twin walers are commonly used to form box culverts, stairs, retaining walls, etc. Twin walers are also frequently used as formwork for walls, abutments, and under slabs during foundation construction. In high-rise and basement construction with shear walls, the steel twin waler acts together with tie rods as a horizontal waler or Vertical Waler.
2. Column Formwork Support (Square & Round Columns)
For large frame structures, twin walers are set up around a column formwork to create a 'hoop-like' system for the reinforcement.
3. Beam & Slab Formwork Support
For heavy construction, these walers can be used as bottom support beams for casting large beams, as well as side stiffeners.
4. System Formwork Integration (Aluminum & Timber H20)
These can be incorporated into aluminium formwork as waler support for major forming systems. They can also be used as timber H20 Formwork or large all-steel form traveliders.
5. Shoring & Retaining Wall Structures
In Temporary Shoring, twin walers are typically used as alternative connections between the shoring piles or as additional waling beams.
